Recently I used an open source LMS to finalize the design of a course that users should be able to intuitively navigate without having to participate in an orientation session. To achieve this target, I ensured that links to the home page are available via tabs strategically placed on each page on the course site (the navigation video will be added later). I also tested the visibility of the design using a mobile app and via the web link and both displayed properly.
The main idea is that users should be able to navigate the course like an e-book without having to request guidance as to how to access a specific section or topic. The true test of the functionality will be based on the feedback from the pilot group later this year :)
